“All the love in the world won’t stop the rain from falling…” – Tears for Fears
So, following a post of the happiest day of my life with one about one of the saddest. On Monday last we arrived home to find Mr. Junebug had been hit by a car just shortly before our arrival. As you can imagine we were shocked, heartbroken and grief-stricken. It was quite the awful night.
This is something we had feared and dreaded since we decided to give up on our home in the country and move back to town. Having grown up outdoors we unable to confine him to an indoor existence, and having no experience with cars he was unprepared for life with more traffic (even on the backwater road we live on). We hoped his aversion to people, dogs and cars would keep him away from the road, but alas the field across the street was too big of a temptation.
We are so very thankful for the kindness of our neighbors who found him and brought him home. For the quickness of his demise – our baby did not suffer for more than a few instants. For the support of our family and friends. We’ve all been thru this and will again.
Here are a few of my favorite photos of our sweet Bugs, Bugsy, Monkey-Lou, Little Boy, Babycat, etc. He will be so missed.
